Too late now but thats why whenever i install cranks i make sure it is 100% on right before pressing the cranks on, as in triple checking everything. In my experience with 3 piece cranks though, normally one will get wedged on really tight and the other gets loose and able to take on and off after a couple rides. If nothing else works just give it a few rides and hopefully it will come off

  2. I’m not familiar with the maverick cranks but how are they backwards and what exactly is the problem?

If you can’t get your cranks off, just take a long socket extension to your spindle with the bolt off and smack it with a hammer until it comes off the splines.

As for the second image, I’m not sure what’s going on

  3. That crank removal tool won’t work in your case, it needs to thread into the arm to press against the spindle. Do the socket trick to bang the spindle “in” which will pop the crank arm off.

  4. To use the crank removal tool properly, you thread it into the spindle threads. Then use a hammer to tap on the head of the renoval tooland it will push the spindle out and away from the crank arm. The tool is heat treated so it won’t get damaged, and your spindle threads won’t get damaged like they might if you just use a socket extension and hammer on that.
