Got a new tire today after seeing this. Idk how much life these have left, but I’m playing it safe. I have a terrible skid patch ratio currently and working on finding a new rear cog. Anybody here just ride until they give out?

I usually wait till I get through the mesh and hit another layer of black, then ride that for a few weeks until I remember to stop by the bike store on my home. But I’m not throwing fat skids as much these days
I don’t, I use a brake.
I wouldn’t commute on that, but it’s still useable for some things. You can try to slide the bead on the rim till you change your cog

You can take the wheel off and rotate it with the chain still to move the skid patch

I was dumb and decided to skid down a very steep concrete pass on my way to Hoover dam to impress and look cool. POP, I had some medical tape to wrap around my tire and rim and rode the 30 miles back home with a bump on my tire from the medical tape.
