I think it was more about the attitude you gave when someone pretty politely said helmets are good. And the type of riding you were doing,which granted looked great, but as cyclist we just gotta be aware of optics

Good call, broh. My helmet saved my life last May. I got hit from behind by a car doing like 45mph. She almost killed me; my helmet was cracked in half, clean in two, right down the middle.
I still got royally fucked up, but I wouldnt be here to type this to you today without it.

I broke the windshield of the minivan that hit me with my helmet, then hit the back of it hard when I hit the asphalt. My Lazer Z1 did its job and I never lost consciousness. Would have been a very different story if I hadn’t been wearing it.
