Stage 1 Central Loop – Czechia Around

Today I will start my epic trip leaving Prague behind me.

After a bit of zigzagging through communist blocks of flats, I got to the country side. Once there I followed the Elbe river and enjoyed many km of backroads all the way to Poděbrady, the legendary spa town. On the way there I swam in a lake and did some sightseeing in a few very interesting towns like Brandys and Nymburk. Also plenty of nice food and drink stops on the way.

Enjoy!

Good morning everyone from the women’s cyclist i’m very excited because today i’m going to ride the central loop of chesco color or at least start with the first stage in fact it’s a long 10-day strip that goes all around the central part of czechia and it will take me through eight unesco

Sites so i’m very excited and today i’ll start with the stage one which starts from chesco color headquarters where i am now enjoying a coffee and it will take me all the way to pudibrati pudibradi is one of the most famous spa towns in the country so let’s go we are from prague

And we know the area quite well so we decided to skip the first 15 kilometers by using the metro if you wish to ride this section it is beautiful but keep in mind that there are a lot of turns and some steep sections compared to the rest of the ride which

Is quite flat so i’m about to start i just got out from the metro in cherny most and i just wanted to introduce you my companion for this part of the trip is christoph here he comes christoph is a very good friend he works in baiko collective and bike adventures

And i’m really looking forward to sharing the ride with him let’s go let’s go i use a garmin on a daily basis so i downloaded the gpx routes from chesco-cola website if you don’t have a navigation system it is not a problem you can use the maps also provided on the website

Just make sure that you have an handlebar mount for your telephone As soon as we exit the metro we start riding and we enjoy zigzagging through prague suburbs we are on minor roads and cycling paths so the ride is really pleasant suddenly we are in the countryside and it becomes really beautiful especially when we get to the elbe river bank So we are riding along the elba river now and we are almost in brandis and we are already hungry of course yeah pizza but before the dessert pizza we take a look at the castle the castle of brandy is not lavem home to kings and emperors is one of the most important monuments

Of the bohemian renaissance for more than 500 years all hasbro dynasties lived there So we are in brandis we checked the castle and now it’s time to put the first stamp on our stamp book which is here waiting for us at the info point let’s go [Applause] and finally pizza time it’s a very hot day today so cheers After lunch we keep riding along the river until some happy screaming catches our attention what was that it’s very hot today about 32 degrees but look what we found let’s go swimming so cool refreshed we start cycling again and we leave the river but just for a while

When we get back to it the paved cycling path leaves room to a beautiful natural single track that takes us all the way to nimburg nimburg is a very interesting small town with an impressive gothic cathedral gothic walls and the romantic streets of the great and little mods

The two city canals it also has a great coffee shop recommended on chesco cola website that we gladly visit A few more kilometers on a perfectly paint cycling path take us to our destination for the day podia brady For over a century podiabradi has been one of the most important czech spot towns springs stable weather and harmonious environment on the banks of the elba along with the calm atmosphere of its colonnad and stylish cafes makes it a great destination Drinking drinking drink a drink so we made it to podia podiatri after 67 kilometers it was a great ride i really enjoyed the variety of terrains to ride but also of things to do like swimming and to see there were many interesting places um like brandis na labem and nimborg and also a

Lot of nice food and drink stop so now i think that we are going to celebrate with a beer because my friend christoph there looks really mean he’s waiting okay so see you tomorrow for the stage two of chesco colo ciao you

  1. Why the subtitles? Your english is perfectly understandable and the subtitles kind of ruin the cinematic experience of the video (which is really good btw). Could you maybe setup YT subtitles that could be turned off? Or maybe use Czech subtitles if you want to target czech audience but I don't really understand the point of english subs here. Anyway, very nice video and i'm definetly gonna watch more…
