Would a deflatable helmet work for bikepacking? German start-up Inflabi are introducing a compact helmet that I think would work great for longer trips
Looks good and an interesting concept espacialy that you can continue to use it after a crash.
But i would hold off till there are more independet tests. They are not sold to the public so I would not Preorder them.
and having to Inflate and Deflate the thing each time would be a bit of a hassle.

For me personally it wouldn’t do much. My helmet is on my head most of the time and if it isn’t then I am stopped to camp, on a train etc at which point I don’t think I am gaining much by deflating it. And then the hassle of having to reinflate it before continuing
