Yup, having a lit up phone screen on your leg is enough for prosecution. Is it hand-held?

You can report road crime online here in London: https://www.met.police.uk/ro/report/rti/rti-a/report-a-road-traffic-incident/
In the rest of the UK you can use the NextBase Portal to find your local force submission portal:

  1. To be honest at no point was her eyes on the phone and her hands were nowhere near the phone , when l get a phone call on my phone through my car , my phone also lights up, can't just decide without proper evidence that she will get done ,

  2. I wonder if she could have got away with it on a technicality? The gov.uk website says "It’s illegal to hold and use a phone, sat nav, tablet, or any device that can send or receive data, while driving or riding a motorcycle.

This means you must not use a device in your hand for any reason, whether online or offline."

Where does resting the phone on your knee fall in that description?

  3. Surprise….surprise, another Chelsea Tractor with a phone abusing driver, it really looks like their standard practise.
With the loss of 6 points, they can only do their crime twice, before they need to find someone to drive them, and by doing that allows them to legally use their phones as a passenger.

  4. I agree that using phones whilst driving is dangerous and anyone caught should feel the full weight of the law. I do however think that the strap line "that smug and smarmy smile" was disingenuous. I didn't think at all that she was smug or smarmy. She was probably a little embarrassed or simply smiling at the person who was looking into her car. Perhaps Mikey is running out of headlines for his videos

  5. So what about the Taxi Driver and his Crossword? I understand it’s not a Phone, but surely him doing a crossword is just as bad? He’s not concentrating on the Road, and don’t tell me that every time he moves he puts the Crossword pen down on the passenger seat, then when he comes to a stop again reaches over grabs the crossword and pen? I’m not having a go at the Taxi driver but surely just as distracting?

  6. I'm smug when driving….
Mobile phone in the glove box
    Radio off.
    Heater on
    Thinking about me tea…
and planning to service my bicycle afterwards…
    Ready for Spring.!

  7. 0:43 – Great Results Mikey, well done . . . . . lets hope those 9 are now remorseful, and have learnt a lesson
The roads are now 0.0001% safer in that area

  8. Ah, the Range Rover . . . . .
    £125K to buy
    £800 road tax per year
    Terrifying cost to insure them
    15 MPG average
    Questionable reliability & build quality
    £2K+ to service
    Truly horrific Depreciation
And utterly pointless in the Urban city environment
. . . . . Its hard to believe people are this Moronic

  9. A business rang me the other day as I was driving and left a message asking me to call back. When I did after I pulled over, they said as I was driving in to see them why hadn’t I answered my phone. I told them I was driving. Well you could have still answered when you saw it was from us. I don’t use my phone while I’m driving. Oh you can it’s fine. You wouldn’t say that if you were crossing the road when I was driving. Bewilderment.🙄
