Hello people of the internet. This is the second time my Canyon Spectral frame has cracked. Both were on or near the wields and both happened in the first 6 months of use. The first was on my rear triangle. The most recent time it was on the top side of my down tube, near the rear shock.
I am making this post to bring some awareness to these bikes. I like to put my bike through its paces when I ride, so with confidence I can say canyon does not make products for people who actually want to mountain bike. This is incredibly disappointing because I absolutely love the look and feel of these bikes.
With all of that said, I have some good components on my canyon that I plan to swap to a new frame. I am thinking of buying a Commencal or propain since those seem to be able to take some hits. Also to keep the silver look of the frame.

is it just me or am I the only one that keeps seeing these nice Canyon bikes always braking.
Just got into mtb last year, and ive notice nothing but alot of sponsors by them, but all the post about the bike are like this one. I dont see much of people talking them up other than if there sponsored.
It just makes me confused how a company can look so good and charge that much for a bike only for it to brake.
Just an observations I had, I have nothing agents the company, I just want to be able to get a bike that I can trust when I ride.
Hopefully you get back out on the trails soon!
My canyon bike has such bad welding job I’m speechless, yours are overdone, to much temp went into frame making it prone to failure

Did you try to get it warrantied?
Canyon spends more time looking for people to sponsor than manufacturing quality bikes.
