Hey All,
I’m going to start biking for my commute and I’m unsure of what bike would be best. This is the information on the incline! I’m sorry, not sure what other information would be helpful so please let me know if you need anything else.
As for me, I haven’t ridden a bike in a long time so I’m pretty nervous about doing this kind of commute. Is there any bike that also best fits this kind of profile?
Thanks!

A bike with a lower gearing will help, also pedals with toe clips or straps (maybe clipless in the future?) will help with climbs immensely because you get more efficiency out of your pedal stroke. It will get easier with time! I used to have a huge hill on my 2.5 mile commute at my old job, by the time I quit it was super easy.
Whats’s that jump at the end? Is that real or a glitch? If you zoom in to the end bit, how much elevation gain is that over what distance?
Ebike. If you have a bosch performance engine, you can do the commute without difficulty even if you’re extra tired from not sleeping. Speaking from personal experience.
If you haven’t biked in a while, a road bike might be a bit uncomfortable. I would recommend a hybrid. Ebike would be the best if you have the money and a secure spot to park.
Stay in the saddle if you can and go as slow as you need to, it’s not a race
A light bike without suspension. These will eat energy going up.
If not ebike: Start slowly and keep that pace. (I too live in a hilly area.)
