Looking to get a rear rack for some of my multi-day trips. My TJ doesn’t have braze-ons so options are a little more limited. (Currently on 29×2.6) What’s more- I really want a rack that I can toss a small/med backpack on so that I can take it off for resupply in towns/on foot exploring. This rules out the tailfin aero… (Unless it’s truly that good) What are some good options for me? **Bonus points if I can easily swap to another bike for commuting**

A new thru axle from OMM and a seat post clamp integrated rack mounts will let you mount any rack you like.

Sadly the Ortlieb Quick Rack isn’t going to work as your tires are too wide

  2. I don’t understand why frame manufacturers won’t toss on a couple braze ons for a rack.

Old man mountain axle kit will get you some mounts. You might be able to use a hole in your drop out or something too.

The Old Man mountain kit’s are a good shout.

~~Alternately if you want to save a bit of cash, an Ortlieb Quick Rack with their seat stay adapters would work, but it wouldn’t look as neat and has a lower weight limit than a traditional rack.~~

Disregard this, just saw the tire clearance issue!
