Recently had the chain changed by Halfords. One of the bolts is completely sheered. My knowledge of bikes is minimal so hoping it’s not as bad as it looks.

You’ll need to replace the rear derailleur, which is relatively inexpensive. You’ll also need to figure out how to extract the sheered bolt. You’ll also want to figure out why it happened so it doesn’t happen again.
As others said it’s a new derailer job. Cost wise isn’t too expensive- £20-50 for a part (depending on the type and compatibility) and maybe £15-30 fitting it, If you want someone else to. Though it could be a good place to start learning.
I suspect Halfords undid something incorrectly. Personal advice is to steer absolutely clear from them. Find a local repeatable bike mechanic. Might not be the cheapest but they are often worth their weight in gold – they’ll often catch other problems and adjust your bike so you end up getting your bike property adjusted
