Hello, and welcome to our 2019 European tour Back then we had a motorhome and the tour lasted almost four weeks This was a summer when not everything went according to plan Our car broke down three times Main targets were Hungary and Croatia but we had to change the plans

Let’s go through the trip Before leaving, I sold my summer car and got the travel money The tour started on 14.6. and first we drove from Valkeakoski to Helsinki We were in the port for the night and in the morning we boarded Eckerö Line

We were the first to arrive, but we weren’t the first to get on the ship We waited on the side and then we were almost the last to get on the ship On the ship I also met my old bandmate Matti Oksa Check the Matti Oksa YouTube channel

Couple of hours and we were in Tallinn from where we then drove to Pärnu On the way I had to change shorts and t-shirt. It was so hot. We stayed at Konse Camping for one night We spent a nice summer day, went cycling in the city and visited on the beach

In the evening we played cards and in the morning we continued our journey In Latvia we stopped to swim. The weather was about 30c We took food from Hese and then we were supposed to get to Kaunas City camping for the night, but it was full

In Prienai we found a spa hotel called Harmony Park There was also a travel park where we stayed for the night Really clean facilities and affordable place The next day we drove to Poland and at the border we took the Viatoll box

When traveling with a large motorhome, you need several similar devices in different countries We stayed one night at Eurocamping in Suwalki and went cycling, shopping and eating in the city And the next morning we continued our journey towards Warsaw

Just outside of Warsaw we found such a nice campsite and there were also other Finns there Clean and comfortable place, and reasonably priced And early in the morning we continued our journey towards Slovakia The day was really hot and I remember it well when we were cooking at that point

The navigator wanted to guide us through Krakow. That wasted an hour. But on the other hand, we saw Krakow and got some good photos As we approached Slovakia, the car’s steering started to be quite bad I checked a tire shop in Namestovo, which we could visit the next day

We stayed at a place called Autocamp Jami Nice place, too bad it rained We got a nice beach spot We spent the night there and headed to the tire shop in the morning, but we didn’t get any service from there They didn’t speak English

We got about 10km and the car could no longer be driven. The steering angles were completely wrong However, we had to wait too long for help, so we decided to crawl a little further We found a campsite in Dolny Kubin where we stayed for the night

We agreed with the insurance company that they will call again in the morning And in the morning, the tow truck finally arrived At first they thought of getting the car on top of the tow truck, but a car that big can’t fit there

So the car was towed away and we were left waiting for the rental car Finally we got a rental car and got going Liptovský Mikuláš was the town where our car was towed and from there hotel accommodation was also booked for us for three days

The children were excited about the hotel holiday and it was a great hotel Our car was found 5 km away from the garage yard For some time I had to wait for the service, that was Friday We got the tires renewed and then we agreed to continue on Monday

So we spent Midsummer at the hotel and we went shopping in town also went to the nearby mountains Very nice weekend in Slovakia Then on Monday morning to the next car repair shop The steering angles were adjusted there

But the tie rod threads were worn and we had to go back to the first repair shop There they were welded and we were able to continue our journey We drove one after the other to Zilina, where we left the rental car and finally we got to continue our European tour

We decided not to visit Hungary at all and sped up the trip a bit We drove straight until night to Austria We stayed in Graz for a night and from there we continued our journey directly to Croatia and there to Lanterna Premium Camping We spent a nice five days there

More about this place in the 2022 tour video and there is also own video of the place in this channel From there we continued our journey to Austria We were in Austria for one night Nice little place in the middle of the mountains, nice swimming pools

From there in the morning we continued our journey to Germany, to Ingolstadt AZUR Camping Quite an expensive place and not worth the price. I do not recommend From there, we set off again in the morning and found the next campsite near Madgeburg Really nice and affordable place

From there we continued our journey the next day towards Denmark We were right there near the border for one night Really neat campsite In the morning when we left, a fault light came on in the car’s instrument panel but no fault code so we continued on our way

On the way, the exhaust pipe fell off the car However, I got it fixed back and the journey continued to Legoland We spent a couple of days there First we went to Lego House and the next day to Legoland Then I did a little troubleshooting of the car and

The heating resistor of the breather was broken and I took it off and I also improved the exhaust pipe mountings and I got bitten by a tick From Legoland we continued our journey to Sweden to Landskrona and there to the next campsite

We also went to bastu. There were only two stones on the stove The next day, we continued our journey to Mjölby, where we were supposed to spend the night and also buy ship tickets from Stockholm to Turku

But we didn’t manage to buy tickets and so we decided to go around home via Vaasa We spent one night in Uppsala and then continued straight to Umeå We went to IKEA to eat and also shopping and the next night we spent in the IKEA parking lot

Early in the morning I moved the car to the port That was the old ship where you had to reverse with a car Today you can drive straight there And so the car is on board and after a couple of hours we were back in Finland

And from Vaasa we drove straight to Valkeakoski And so we are home again and the tour is over That was a 4-week tour compressed into 10 minutes So, thanks for watching and till next time Bye
