Hi everyone.
This is the small cog on a Deore 10 speed cassette. I’ve been having an issue with it dropping the chain past the cassette and into the frame, even when I’ve set the high limit up according to both Shimano’s instructions and Park Tool’s how-to. With either setup, the problem persists.
I took it all apart and put a different groupset on the bike and that seems to work fine.
When looking at the cassette, I noticed this cog like this. Is this normal?

Yes, this is normal: cassettes have teeth shaped to help shifting. This includes the smallest sprocket. Look at the other ones and you should see similar differences between teeth; some that look twisted or misshapen on purpose.
I looked at a couple of my 11 speed shimano cassettes. Yours does seem to have more bend on a few teeth. However those bends are facing inboard, opposite of your frame.
