Question — fairly new to all this and learning quickly as I go…. I have various levels of noise as I shift through my gear, especially when the chain moves to the large cog on the FD. As the rear moves to the smallest cog I then start getting a clicking. I can’t see any issue – the chain doesn’t appear to be running on the FD at all. If this is louder than it should be – what should I be looking at?

Thx for knowledge share…

I have a mix of SRAM red and rival on my bike, and SRAM Axs drivetrains seems to be loud in my experience when compared to shimano. I’ve not noticed it having any negative experienced to my rides. Most of the time I forgot the drivetrain is even making noise. The wind covers up a lot of it, and I ride with headphones a lot of the times.

It might be that the rear mech needs to be adjusted again and could be slightly out of micro adjust on the smaller cogs. Though it’s a bit hard to say without seeing the bike and doing some troubleshooting in person.
