The question comes a bit late as “the dark season” is coming to an end, but I’ve been riding a lot around dawn/dusk lately and my go-to all black fit of course isn’t ideal.
I’m looking for something bright / reflective that doesn’t make you look like you’re working at a waste collection company – something a bit more aesthetically pleasing with a little creative twist like a cool pattern, you know?
The pictured gore wear C5 jersey here is quite nice but I still need some time to get used to standing out like this (I know, that’s the purpose, but I generally dislike drawing any attention to me lol). Apart from that, I’ve already got a few jerseys with vibrant colours (dominantly red), a winter jacket in mustard yellow and a white wind breaker – which all took some time getting used to.

I hate that color with a passion, AITA?
The important thing is contrast, and movement of said contrast. This is why I love white shoes/socks/helmet for the road best.
Sorry to answer a question you didn’t ask, but FWIW, and if I understand correctly, the visibility effects of hi viz (like neon yellow) are relatively minimized at night and low light. The more important thing is *reflective* clothing when there’s not much light out.
Hi viz is supposed to be better at improving visibility during daylight, and doesn’t actually need to be a big block of hi viz material (like a jacket or jersey). It’s better to put the hi viz bits on moving parts, like pant cuffs, shoe covers, gloves, etc.
GCN did a video about it: https://youtu.be/33GpfTWdk8U?si=f0gfzlGSz6vH-ntS
Just something to consider!
hi viz is cool in the future hellworld only the waste management aligned will survive
