Got a pretty beat up GT for cheap, a bit too small for me but it’ll do as a restomod project. HT is 1 1/8″ threaded and last owner said he wasn’t sure what model it is either. Seems like the seat tube and stem was stuck at some point since the ST is pretty mangled and fork is bent. Pretty sure it was repainted at some point as well.
Any leads on this would help me decide what kind of paint job I’ll do on it after it’s repaired. Thanks!

Hard to say without the stickers. I doubt the serial number would help much as I’m not sure if they have a database accessible that could ID that way. Could be. Timberline or Karakorum from that era.. Would have to see what colors those came in and see if that frame color lines up. Good luck..
