I’m rebuilding an old trek antelope and was planning on using this 2x crankset I had laying around.
Sighting down it, it looks to be way too far to the outside of the freehub. There will be a 10 speed cassette (11-46 if it matters) on there, but it’s in the mail so I can’t try it out yet.
Center of downtube to chainring looks to be 50mm, and that’s after I moved both BB spacers to the NDS.
Are there chainring bolts that can offset the ring further inboard? Something else I’m not thinking of??
Thanks for any help!

  1. 50mm is basically fine for wide-range cassettes on 135. Tune it with chainring spacers (and longer bolts) if needed (Wheels Mfg etc). If you do need to do that it would likely only be 1-2mm. 49 is a fairly common number for 135 wide-range so thats where I’d start it.
