I got my new bike a few days ago (yeah!) but am wondering if this is normal or not.. It‘s my first carbon frame, so I don’t have any personal experience with this.
Depending on the angle of view / lighting you can see carbon layers (I guess) in different shades. The shades vary from charcoal to brown-ish.
This effect is not visible across the whole frame but only on some locations.
Is this normal? I personally would have expected a uniform color.
Manufacturer color name is „stealth“.

It’s absolutely fine, it’s just the carbon layup, mine is the same. Word of advice is take this advice and delete your post before some very upset, angry individuals scream about this been a repetitive post👍🏼
This is normal and kind of the point. It’s not a stain but the UD carbon fibers. Most people find it desirable to see the carbon, so manufacturers offer this as a paint option. There’s a thin “smoke” paint instead of black paint. It’s also the lightest paint option.

We should really make it a mandatory to read that before asking a question.., Mods? pls?
No problems here, OP. Go ride and enjoy your new bike!

There is inconsistency in this kind of finish, but the top tube def looks bad and they should have flagged for sale in the outlet imo. Doesn’t hurt to contact Canyon you might get a discount and if it really bothers you there is a return/exchange policy.
It’s fine since you ordered stealth…I specifically did not get a stealth bike because they said it would be like that.
