This one caught my eye from my local market and wanted to get everyone’s opinion as I couldn’t find much info about the brand. (Aside from youtube ‘totally not advertisement, this is my honest opinion’ videos)
At $250, do you guys think this might be a good buy for a beginner who wants to try road biking before making a huge commitment. (like, good enough for me to get the glimpse of what road bike is like / learn the difference from flat bar hybrid bikes)

Decathlon is well regarded in Europe and sells no-nonsense and functional bikes that will go the distance, but don’t expect light weight or crispy split-second gear changes, and rim brakes are no match for discs, off course.

Do make sure you get the correct frame size, and be prepared to replace the [handlebar stem](https://www.bikester.nl/onderdelen/balhoofden-stuurpennen/stuurpennen/) to make the ‘fit’ just so (which also requires a saddle fore/aft adjustment).
