With pathfinders (in what I assume are either 38 or 42mm) you don’t have to worry.
Hookless is a great technology which can be bad when pushed to the limit or even beyond of what’s specified by the Epo or the manufacturer.
Dont go above the max pressure and you’ll be fine
Hookless are fine. Just don’t over inflate.
Assuming you don’t have a Lotto-Dstny mechanic working on your bike, you’ll be fine.
99% of hookless issues happen with high-pressure narrow tires. Gravel tires at gravel pressures, you’ll never have a problem.
Where’d you get the great deal? They look sharp. I go back and forth between Zipp and Enve.
This is a great set of wheels, and there will be absolute no problems as long as you follow the instructions regarding pressure and tires.
Hookless is fine
Hookless is fine. It’s very much a marketing gimmick with more benefits to the manufacturers than consumers, (and having to use online tools to determine tire pressures and compatibility is fucking dumb as hell), but you don’t have to worry about anything if you stay in spec.
I’ve put 20k miles on mine. Zero issues, very happy with them. Can be tricky to seat a tire on. I use Pirelli’s on mine, they work well with them.
Gravel and hookless should be fine, since you not gonna ride 40mm+ gravel tire at 73 psi on 25mm internal rim (hookless max pressure regardless of tire and internal rim width). Also hookless rims kind of better for off road riding due the impact handling characteristics. However, last year i was on the market for new gravel hoops, and decided to go with Roval Terra since they have hooks… as peace of mind.
