Hello, I have an old trail-a-bike style trailer I’d like to use for my kiddo, but the seat post clamp doesn’t quite get tight enough to stay I position. Any ideas on what to use as a bushing/shim to pad out the gap?

There are shims meant to adapt smaller seatposts to larger frames. One of those should work.
Shouldn’t it be loose for turning ? Or is there a different pivot point ?
