This is my take on making saddle harder to steal. Not 100% proof, but relatively cheap and requires 2 same sized allen keys to open(and lighter than QR lever). Parts sourced from aliexpress.

Do you have the AliExpress link? I’ve been looking for something similar.

  3. Aluminum or stainless? If it’s aluminum I’d carry a spare. They tend to break quite easily.

Try filling the bolt holes with bubble gum. It will dry out into a crusty gross mess. In order to turn the bolt a thieve will need to spend time digging it out to then use their wrenches.

  5. I used to put a ball bearing into that hex hole and put a drop of wax on it. It’ll lock in place and you can get it out with a heat gun, hair dryer, lighter or just picking at it

  6. Looks neat, good idea. I’ve been wanting to put a better seat on my city beater that lives outside 24/7 but also don’t want to get it stolen so I’ll give it a try!

  7. Superglue a ball bearing into the hex socket, you can twat it out with a screwdriver and hammer when you need to, casual thieves will move on.
