This is a reimagined Raleigh, frame was sand blasted and re painted with new decals. Discs have been added, new bosses added. It’s currently on 27.5 with gravel tires. 650b would be able to fit wider tires. I can’t tell if there’s potential for a thicker tire on a 27.5 wheel, the mud guards would be ditched so that would open up a bit of room (see last pic) what do you guys think ?? . Bit hesitant as I don’t want to be running small wheels for backpacking rides. New scram 1×11 was added. I was looking to save up for a more modern rigid mtb but wondering if it’s worth going cheaper first time round and having money aside for decent backpacking kit. Just by chance the seller on eBay is located 20 mins drive from my home, so would just need to pop back down from uni or get my old man to have a look.
