Heya fam, so after being a staunch 26inch only fan, I’m keen to upgrade so I can do longer (and faster) rides with my mates. Maybe the odd gravel event. Which one of these would you recommend? The 2019 Giant TCX or the 2016 Specialized Crux.
I’m aware box are cyclo cross bikes but the second hand market in NZ, is limited in my price range.
Any advice or alternatives much appreciated.

Some quick googlin’ says that the TCX can fit 40c+ and the Crux 35-38c max.
Easy answer is the TCX. Tire clearance gives you options.
Crux is faster and a better road/gravel
TCX is better equipped to handle the more technical terrain since it can fit wider tires.
I’d go Crux
Whichever one fits you best/most comfortably.
That Crux is a sweet looking ride. Depends on the kind of gravel and what you are comfortable with. If it is loose gravel you might want some bigger tires but if it is a packed two track the crux might get it.
Go TCX, more tire clearance, and hydrualic disc brakes.
I’m a sloping top tube fan. Besides, it’s a “S”. Def door #2
Edit: I have a ‘23 Giant Revolt Advanced 2 with Roval Terra wheels. I efing love my RA2. Between those two bikes I would take the Crux. I like bikes not brands.
