I am looking for a new “all-road” endurance bike. I have a 2012 aluminium Canyon Roadlite, so this will be a big upgrade. Since then, disc brakes have become standard. I’m looking for electronic shifting – I’m leaning towards Di2, because I’ve always used Shimano, but I’ve heard good things about the SRAM system.
I have researched online and narrowed it down to either a Scott Addict (love the look) or Giant Deft (also looks good). I visited a bike shop today who has both brands. They suggested I look at the Merida Scultura Endurance. They also talked about AXS, which the person uses on all their bikes (benefits; can switch batteries, easier to charge).
I have outlined this and more at https://www.trovster.com/loves/cycling/new-road-bike

I’m a Shimano Di2 fan, but realize that’s personal. Regarding the bikes, buy whichever you find sexiest that fits and is in your price range. They’re all great options.
