I just received my electric p-line. When folding the handle bar, the brake lever puts a constraint on one of the spoke of the mudguard. This can be seen in the picture (red circle)

The attachement for the knob seems well placed. But crowd wisdom is usually better and faster so I am asking you to: is this normal?

The constraint already made the handle bar to come loose three times today. This will quickly annoy me 🙂

Thanks for your time and support !

  1. Experience-Early on

It doesn’t happen on my Brompton, but I think I have the brake levers at more of an angle tilted down from the where hands rear on the bar. (As that’s more natural for where the fingers fall) That would remove the issue.

  2. You should be able to adjust the brake lever a bit further down so it doesn’t contact the fender support.

  3. RedDivisions on

I have the non-electric P-line so don’t know if there’s a difference but anything that sounds like it’s putting pressure on essential parts doesn’t sound intentional. Probably just needs some manual adjustment like others said.
