Hi! I’m looking to purchase my first bicycle to start, maybe do triathlons next year. I narrowed it down to these couple options with a budget around $500. I read good things about the Decathlon RC120 as a first bike which is going for $500 new from Decathlon, and found a Trek Domane AL 2 Rim, from 2021 in my area going for $400. Biggest differences I see are that the Decathlon comes with Disc Breaks and Microshift CS-H081 11-34 cassette, vs the Trek that comes with Rim Brakes and a Shimano Claris 11-32 8 speed. Could you please help me decide which one would be a better buy? Some more specs I found below:
