I would definitely get some toe clips and straps if it’s fixed. Even if it’s single speed, you might as well get a set just to get you used to them. It can be awkward at first but after an hour of riding, you will get your toe in naturally.
Also, a rear brake isn’t necessary. If you remove it, you can really clean up the frame because you no longer have the cable on the top tube. Front brakes do most of the work. Just make sure you’re not leaning forward and squeezing the lever hard. It’s pretty hard to endo (flip forward) unless you’re really trying to do it.
