I’m a bike noob – I haven’t ridden one for around 10 years, and I wanted to get one for commuting, but also for some fun on the weekends here and there.
I got the Grizl 8 and it arrived yesterday – I got it assembled by a certified Canyon mechanic and I noticed the squeaking shortly after riding it. I asked the mechanic over email the next day and he said I need to wear the breaks in. He suggested try breaking down hill quite hard, at the time I didn’t have a video to send to him, so I’m not sure if he realised how excessive the squeaking is.
I took a video to show how loud the squeaking is here: [https://streamable.com/mkbs77](https://streamable.com/mkbs77)
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Your brake rotor is rubbing against the brake pads.
Realign the calipers and check the rotor for wobble.
(Or tell the mechanic to do it if that’s covered by what you paid for the service.)
