First time bikepacker here. Going on a 4 day trip in May with some more experienced friends of mine. They’re on gravel bikes but I’m taking my ebike. Just wondering where the best place to store my extra battery is? I know they make specific battery backpacks but I’d rather avoid a backpack altogether if possible. Is it better to store it on the bars? In a paneer rack? As you can see from the picture, a frame bag just isn’t possible.

Battery weighs 3kg FYI
When I go for extended (100km+) rides on my ebike I take a second battery in a hiking backpack that has a water bladder in it. I found a backpack that was deep enough to fit the battery.
I doubt you can go four days on two batteries if the trip has a lot of distance and elevation . Probably need a regular bike for this trip
You staying on any sites or fully wild camping? What kind of range do you get on low? Might be worth taking the charger instead of a spare battery.
I’d say frame bag but you’re really going to struggle with that bike. Can you get everything else you need on it?
