Got the GT to a nice useable build. Although it’ll inevidentably end up with nicer parts sometime in the future!

My best guess is this is a 94 GT Talera, must have been left outside for years based on the paint fade.

Lots of parts bin stuff here, and a few trips to bike co-ops.

Wheels:

* Front is from a walmart morvelo, but it’s black on black which is nice.
* Rear is a co-op find, Sun Rhyno Lite with a Specialized cassette hub.

Drivetrain:

* Sram X4, borrowed from another bike for now,
* Altus cranks from a co-op as the original pedals were **completely** seized in the originals, and the pedals were unusable.

Brakes

* Avid single digits, cheap off aliexpress (although I’m suspect they’re genuine).

Cockpit

* Amazon quill converter and stem
* Aliexpress bars with a big backsweep.

Seatpost is completely seized in for now, but thankfully at the right height for me.

Saddle is obviously shot, but the foam is present and it’s not horrifically uncomfortable so I kinda dig the ‘don’t bother stealing this thing’ vibe.
