When the connection pins are hold on place, there is just sooo much resistance, you can even hear let alone see it. Does not seem normal to me 🙃
I bought a 2nd shutter precision hub that has a lot of rolling resistance, is it salvageable?

Thats normal. Those are the magnets from the dynamo.
You’re running it on an empty rim, even just adding a tire will add rotational momentum.
