A couple years back, locally bought a used R8000-ss rear derailleur. I was about to install it on my main bike that currently has R7000-gs rear derailleur on it. I only run a 11-28T cassette, so don’t need the gs for that bike; the R7000-gs is going on a gravel bike I’m building that will be needing a 11-34T cassette.
But now realized for the first time that the R8000-ss is missing the Bracket axle.
I will be ordering the bracket axle specifically for the R8000. But if the bracket axle currently installed with my R7000 fits the R8000, I can do the swap now, rather than waiting for the part to arrive. So, are they interchangeable?
I realize I can tear everything down and see for myself right now. But I’d hate to spend all that time only to find out it doesn’t work and then put everything back together again.
