Well, I still think you should wrap yourself in blinking Christmas lights – then *maybe* you would have gone too far. Actually, back in the late 90s in SF, drivers kept mowing us down with the tired old “we did not see them” excuse – and keep in mnid this was before most drivers were on their phones all the time. My friend Jim decided to make himself ultra visible, and did wrap his body and his bike in blinking holiday lights. Of course he got harassed by the SFPD for being “too distracting to drivers” – not visible enough, we got run down. Too visible? Poor drivers *had* to look at us.
