I have a lot or bikes and not a lot of storage. This solution would work perfectly for my space limitation, but is hanging a bike (storing for six months at a time) from the dropper bad?

My gut feeling is no. It bangs up against the stops thousands of times a summer. Hanging can’t be that bad, can it?

I’d just get a wall mount pedal hanger. Half the price to boot.
wrap some slit open scrapped inner tubes(or similar padding) around the area of metal to metal contact to avoid abrasion and it will be fine.
You will be fine, no worse than hanging a bike by the front wheel placing the load on the fork.
Hanging it from the dropper when the post is lowered will quickly destroy it fully. Hanging it extended may increase wobble in the keys that keep it straight, but is much less concerning. Pedal hanger, as mentioned is a better option.
You’re probably fine. I’d make sure it’s in the raised position. Just keep in mind it wasn’t designed to have upward forces on it. I’ve seen the travel adjustment spacer things on PNW/trans x posts get damaged from being slammed into repair stands too hard. Pulling an older reverb up while it’s in the down position will mess up the IFP and it requires a rebuild to fix it.
