things London does not really need more of: – pret a mangers – lime bikes – district line branches

in fact I’m increasingly of the belief that the Edgware Road-Wimbledon route should be spun off into its own line (that’s all the rage these days I’ve heard)

and lying on that route is quiet, gentle Wimbledon Park. The actual park next door is fantastic, but is the tube station?

Why is the district line need so many branches it’s like pretto M I’m not reviewing every Pratt uh but I am reviewing Wimbledon Park is a gentle Affair that shares a lot in Wimbledon common with southfields one stop up the line the majority of the platform is

Just a wide paved space with the only real thing of notes being a be friendly planter in the middle though the trees and grassy verges soften the feel a bit the covered end of the platform isn’t anything extraordinary but I find it quite cozy helped particularly by this

Lovely bit of Pros about London’s trees and the color scheme of mustard yellow and Pine Green is fantastic particularly in this old waiting room despite the Sleepy feel there is also lift access to the platforms the ticket Hall is small but with some nice decorative touches and there’s a Dutch Gable on the

Exterior in fact whilst there’s not a huge amount going on I find this a very calm place which means I’m sure that regular commuters are now shouting at me what the hell are you talking about anyway it’s going to be a pretty strong B tier for me

  1. Gotta be an A tier for being the start of one of the best sections of the London Capital Ring walk (so long as you're doing it clockwise).

  2. The Ealing Broadway branch is being considered to be removed in a few years so all those extra trains can go to Wimbledon and Richmond. Then there'd only really be 2 branches. Ealing Broadway could then be served by all the extra Pic Line trains coming soon. Good plan imo, increases the frequency of the central pic section and a much higher frequency for the other 2 district branches.
