I added new run of the mill pedals, new saddle to replace the beat up original, new stem and Fairdale 70mm riser bar. Kept all original parts.
Let me know if qualifies here otherwise please make suggestions to be qualified!!

I think any bike with a history behind it qualifies.
Personally I prefer the normal threaded stems over of those adapters thingies. For cruising I would not want to miss all the boring stuff like a mudguards, lights & reflectors. For “sport” riding I would like a different saddle and bars. So right now -to me- it seems it is in a weird spot.
But who am I to judge? I have almost that same frame sitting in the shed for two years. Just mine has an U-brake at the chainstays. Hoping this year I will finally find time to build it up.
At least yours is rideable! 🙂

We all wish we had a cool-but-forgotten bike sitting in the shed for 20 years.Â

I’ve got a similar [front end setup.](https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/s/IRBk8Ny20a)
Very comfortable and does well on trails.
