I got to try a electric P line today (France) at a bike store and while I found the electric assist to be more than decent, the controls and overall setup is extremely impractical. Moreover the E-Brompton is apparently not airline-compliant and I would love to be able to travel with my future Brompton bike.
The most well-received conversion kit seems to be from ARCC, but they don’t ship outside of UK. I’ve looked into Nano and emailed them, currently waiting for their reply. In the meantime I also heard that Grin Technologies is also good but requires extra handiwork.
I found a website where you can order Grin Brompton kits: [https://www.ebike-solutions.com/en/](https://www.ebike-solutions.com/en/)
Their website is wonky and I have trouble navigating it as it’s written in German, even when you switch languages on the top-right of the page.
My questions are:
* has anyone had any experience with ebike-solutions? Or Nano?
* is there any other reputable conversion kit available in EU?
* how long should I expect these kits to last? Can they survive, say, 2000km and 5 years of neat daily commuting?
I haven’t owned a bike since I was 13 but on very rare occasion rented bikes on vacations. Now looking into getting a Brompton for going to work and leisure (well, mostly leisure).

not sure if their battery is air travel compliant but checkout Pendix from Germany
For grin tech go to their official website at https://ebikes.ca/ the other address you found maybe a reseller of their kits. They ship internationally.
The LIGO batteries are TSA safe but I believe they’re in the middle of cutting over to a newer model. Discuss with them. You could also use powertool batteries such as dewalt v20, v18 or Ryobi v18 etc… in sets of 2 to get the needed 36 volts. 5ah or less will make them TSA compliant.
