How I travelled to Italy with my eBike on a plane

UK to Finale Ligure in Italy is possible- one thing, you cannot take a battery on the plane! Airlines restrict lithium batteries over 160Wh – but if you remove the battery you can pick up a battery at the location!

Train from Nice Airport to Finale Ligure is approximately 2:30 hours and less than €30 – great value for money.

We used Freeride Finale for uplifts – be sure to get the “For You” card from Finale Outdoor office (next to the main bikelift area) – its only €5 but saves €2.50 on every single shuttle, and more offers in local businesses, and lasts a year.

It’s an ebike and they say don’t take ebikes but technically it’s a ebike with no battery so it’s a regular Bike Bikes are actually on the plane which is Good just heading down the the bikes going to come out on the normal Carousel turns out that the bikes come out at the oversized luggage bike number one there it is all intact bike number two tell you what it’s very very easy to get from London to here with very very little

Hassle absolutely amazing sometimes you think things are actually really difficult but when in real life turns out super Simple so yeah 1 and a half hours from the UK or 1 hour 40 blue skies bit of sun and a bit of Warmth train is absolutely massive you’re Fine so the train was super busy when we got on and loads of people got off at Monaco actually a fairly picturesque train journey so we’re now in Italy it’s like a I don’t know 45 50 minute train Ride so arrived in Finale Thea Hotel Medusa is where we’re staying and according to this it’s yeah 300 yards Away it’s actually quite a bike friendly uh Hotel it’s actually a Bosch like charging dock there park tools actually a hot tub around here and this is all right little bike stand Here the bikes are all built I’m just going to collect the battery from finale Outdoor hello one BH battery for you oh EXC oh that’s so amazing got batteries here so there will hopefully be options to be able to um rent these batteries they do all like the guides and there like free ride the shuttle services are up here so day

One I just got to show you this view cuz it’s pretty amazing lovely day people out there surfing already it’s 7:30 in the morning very nice I’m not going to Lie size is yours perfect thank you very Much now you got It This W upday is not a good day absolutely blowing a gale pouring down the range I would not want to be riding in this at all it’s gone from like Sunny 15° glorious weather to basically storm pouring rain freezing cold really windy the joys have comeing to Italy in the winter it’s February
