  1. Itโ€˜s nice! I have a Basso as well, though a much simpler model. Will always upvote Campy gearing. Kudos for going silver. Minor criticism is that on such an elegant frame (look at those pencil-thin chromed stays!) the Centaur crank and RD still feel a bit overpowering. But then again itโ€˜s a somewhat funky late 80s early 90s (?) fade paint job so that should give some leeway for a lilโ€˜ funkiness! Special credit for picking up the fade on the bar tape, duly noted! Those Sciroccos are super solid wheels as well.

  2. These photos are making my mouth water… Which is just as well, since that drivetrain is so clean you could eat your dinner off of it! One small note though: the pics would be even juicier if you put the chain in the big ring ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the Nitto stem/bars that I used on my own italian beauty but I do slightly resent them for being non-italian.

  4. Havn’t seen braided cable housings before! Are those gear outers Campa specific? I’ve noticed slight performance drop with general housings and Campa high end shifters.

Also white electric tape for the bar tape ends next time ๐Ÿ˜‰
