I’ve done some searching through the sub, and have found some general advice about [planning routes](https://francevelotourisme.com/) and [bike rental options in Bordeaux](https://experiencefrancebybike.com/renting-a-bike-in-bordeaux-france/) but was wondering if anyone has personal recommendations or advice on a route beginning and ending in Bordeaux for around 6 days total.
We’re hoping to do less than 80km per day on average, riding through scenic regions, stopping at wineries/breweries, and spending nights 50/50 bike camping and in local accommodation.
Cheers in advance!

I would recommend you pass through Biarritz because it’s a beautiful place. I once did a Bordeaux to Biarritz trip. Great if you don’t mind the boring pine woods. 🤣
No idea what sort of cycling you’re doing. I mean you could get into the Pyrenees if you ride long distances each day and like hills.
If you want it easy, the Garonne Canal path is good and easy, and Bordeaux is near the Eurovélo easy route up and down the coast.
There is a Eurovelo 1 allong the coast. You can take train to the South (Hendaye) and go up to the North. It is very flat. There is a long dunne from Bayonne upto Royan. After Royan it is more hilly but still not very demanding. But I think there are no wineries.
From Lacanau there is cyclopath on the former railway to Bordeaux. Another former railway leads from Langon (or Bazas) to Mios which is near Arcachon.
We rode the French part of Eurovelo 1 up to the Nantes and also rode along Canal du Midi and Gironde from Bezéirs at the coast of Mediterranean Sea.
There are many railways that you can use.
I think you can do Bordeaux to Bordeaux in no time!
That aside, I’ve watched [Bike Touring Mike](https://www.youtube.com/@BikeTouringMike) cycle to Bordeaux, I’m not sure if you’ll like parts of his route maybe.
