Race face Chester. I’m 6-4” and 200, and have some pairs that have survived almost a decade of trail bike use.

  2. Crankbrothers stamp 9 or 11, I have the 11s on my MTB expensive but fully user serviceable, though they will shred your shines if your not careful

  3. DMR V8s. I’ve put them through hell and back on all my bikes, and the pedals are just about the only thing I haven’t broken yet.

Oneup composites can take a beating and are so grippy that you feel clipped in. Use them for trail riding but would be great for commuting too

Look Geo City Grip is a good option if you want to avoid pins in the pedal (which can be rough on some kinds of shoes). Look Geo Trail is the same pedal with a more aggressive grip pattern. The pads are replaceable and interchangeable between the two. I find the city grip has been rock solid even in rain, and appreciate that it is not painful or destructive to clothing if I bump it when carrying my bike up and down stairs.
