Getting into nursing me with free healthare clinical non-clinical healthcare jobs getting apprenticeships you know where you’re paid to work and study at the same time I’ve done to apprenticeships myself I did my first apprenticeship while I was still on Visa sponsorship in the UK you know as um um

Doing but this is the time to get into nursing it’s a conscious choice that you’re having to make so don’t feel that because you’ve never considered nursing if you never thought about nursing then it’s not for you it is for you and it’s one of those professions that you get to

Learn what it is that you need to do and it’s a skill that all of us have empathy all of us communicate all of us know that we should treat people with dignity you know what I mean those Basics that come with healthare you’ve already got

That so you don’t need to worry about more it’s about polishing those skills that you already have packaging them beautifully so that you’re successful so that’s why I’m obviously sharing this in terms of the length of time by the way you may be wondering H Melvis you’re

Going on about this how long is it going to be for it’s going to be for 4 years so it’s a part-time course for 4 years and I tell tell you it is well worth it 22.5 hours a week for 4 years and also one of the things is that when this um

Particular plan was obviously approved one of the first UK universities that was approved to offer this particular course was Swansea University so Swansea University is one of the top 10 when it comes to nursing courses in the UK it’s a very prestigious University and they are starting this particular course in

September of 2024 so that’s one of the universities that will be offering the course but like I’ve said you also need support from obviously your employer to be able to do that course because you’re not going to be paying the tution fees so if you’re wondering hey Melvis what

About the fees how much do I had to pay zero tuition fees because it is fully funded obviously for you and that’s why I said that the government had announced in 2023 that they were putting in just over $300 million to recruit more carers in the UK recruit more people within

Health and Social care but also to help those people with career progression to help with more funding so that those people can remain within Health and Social care rather than leave to other careers and other professions that’s the purpose of this course so if you’re watching this now and you’re a Cara in

Progress I know when I was working as a care if I had seen these opportunities like you know where you get funded to study I mean I would have embraced it because when I did my nursing course that was my undergrad I paid £30,000 for

The course I mean I don’t regret it it was well worth it I mean nursing is a course that is really worth it even if you’re studying nursing in the UK as an international student it is well worth it the only thing is to choose a course that is accredited

By the nmc such as this course so that upon successful completion of the course you don’t need to write any out o nothing the university simply sends all your details to the nmc which is the nursing and M Council that regulates our practice as nurses midwives and nursing

Associates and they give you your nmc PIN number to work as a nurse in the UK so it’s really simple straightforward straight to the point no Hustle No out needed so again this is not an opportunity say want to miss and like I’ve said the first cohort is starting
