What do you think about this bike for $85? This would be my first older mtb. Want to get something less expensive than my gravel bike to ride on to breweries and trails with friends.
If $85 is the initial ask, see if you can it for closer to $50, moreover don’t go over $60. For an all original 2000 Kona, that’d be more than a fair price.

I’d pass. Riding a bike like that, that’s a bit too small, is a pain. On top of that, the bike uses a U-brake, under the chain stays. Those things are f*cking impossible to adjust properly.

Solid bike for $85. It is a size 21” (largest size). I’m 6’1.5 and rode a 1989 20”. If you’re 6’3” or taller it should be perfect. It’s clearly not a 2000. It is from 1988.
