It’ll be nice and cool it’ll be not too much sweating the vein will definitely keep the dust down and the good thing is it’s not actually pouring down so it has done all night but that will really make the trails nice I’m riding n 901 uh with Pro component
Suspension very similar to the light I ride at home so I’m ready to go first day riding today Pap so I’m looking forward to getting out and smashing 400 kilers out first time to New Zealand yeah uh it’s literally on the exact opposite of where I’m from so far away
But yeah it’s cool love it here hey guys well everyone’s rolling in this morning the weather’s a bit Misty so we’re probably going to get a little bit wet but it’s all part of the adventure isn’t it uh tracks are going to be good still
Nice and loose gravel at least it be no dust so yeah really looking forward to it and uh yeah bring it on yo get the sneer box loud hting that stuff to you hearing that sound that stuff to that sound Fu that sound o that is snow it’s

Ride it’s into a fantastic day wheel and then I’m going to kick the back wheel backwards and turn the motor over that’s a bit of a teaser well done rob me I can’t on the World Without You by my I gave my world you it was an unreal day it was
Absolutely the best we had everything we literally had everything it was raining this morning when we left Hamner and it was 3° as we started up Rainbow Road and then we got snow at the top of the saddle it was literally snowing um and then later in the day the sun came out
It was Dusty at one point and then the rain came back um but it was awesome we had everything everything from amazing Gravel Road scenery when the clouds cleared um creek crossings Farmland it was it was Unreal it was absolutely adventure riding at its best you know
The southern Explorer turning it on I think I was the last bike back tonight so it was a long day uh very long day um but good and I believe everyone’s back safe and sound so that’s the main thing uh looking forward to another day tomorrow uh try and uh not get another
Puncture tomorrow cuz that took a bit of time out of the day but uh it’s always a pleasure to stop and take in the scenery and fix puncture and it’s just for me it’s just like uh it’s a husky Tre ritual to get a puncture on the first
Morning so I did it again this time to start the day as a real bit of a trait it’s the Mong tapu track so some of you may have done it some you may have not but technically at the moment the Nelson cancel have actually closed that track but we’ve got very special
Permission from our friend over here Mr Daman OK Conor and it’s really nice to be here and say enjoy this these are the things uh that that I look for the trips that I plan ahead uh I’m sure you’ve done this over over many months leaving
Up to this and for Rosie and Lyndon to support it and all the other people in Steven at organizing it thank you very very much these uh as I say the experiences of Our Lives be safe enjoy the top of the South um it’s a pleasure to have you
Back with the rain of the morning before a distant memory and a cracking day set for Riders to head to the true top of the South with exclusive access to Monger Road first up to get the blood flowing followed by the scenic run through French pass before barge transportation to derville Island
Returning via French pass before heading to pikon for the overnight day two was said to be a spectacular expiration of the best of the marbra sounds I’m here to help the guys with their bikes anything technical Tire changes tube Replacements uh basic servicing anything that goes wrong I’m
Here to give them a hand um also help with anything anything that needs doing is is why I’m here I’m a jack of all trades just wishing everybody a safe journey today moving up to Picton I think it is and uh yeah we’ll see you there well it’s not raining and we are
Very fortunate to go through the mapu track which I’m thoroughly looking forward to last time it was soaking wet and so it’ll be a completely different experience this time stoked lynon guy that we’ve got this Ambassador I think he’s going to hold me up today he needs he needs to watch out
I’m going to take him out yeah I think he’s already scared yeah yeah yeah absolutely that you’re going to hold him up today yeah there’s been a little bit of ban going on there and all I can say is that we will see when we get to the
End of the day the thing is I have to stop a lot to do videos and photos um and that kind of gives him a little bit of a false sense of security that he’s ahead we’ll see how he does today if he wants some help with navigation I’m his manby me
Up sang on a little bit of digity a little bit of self get with a lot less get along with low take slow every time I try to get the de down the line something comes bubbling up from way down below see like everywhere in which keep keep make a get withi

Be S toang onit little between hman Bay and M SS Las D Island literally an island C between two Shores Fierce Turtle flows hidden reefs and fickle weather patterns make the journey via Fury a challenge at times but not today the coast was clear to get our bikes across to explore the
Island head in the my feet on the ground and I’m not ever coming down this is pretty cool we’re going adventure riding on a boat and this little derville Ferry is going to take us to derville Island where we’re going to go have lunch at the Community Hall and go exploring so
This is adventure riding at its finest pretty amazing I mean this is nothing like anything I’ve seen in Europe before and it’s just mind-blowing with the places we have seen the people we are with and uh likely also the weather play along today so I’m I’m pretty happy to
Be here and uh thanks for for making this happen you know it’s a great place so will we see this happen in Europe this will come to Europe and we hope to bring it in all the countries around there build a whole Community like this over there and start everybody getting
On to the Husky track and we’ve had a great lunch uh luckily brought up by a little four-wheel drive Uber truck up a gly four-wheel drive track uh just for lunch for us today so it’s been pretty awesome getting ready now to head over to Grille Harbor over the other side and
Uh some awesome sand Jes and some great great views here so looking forward to that a so here we are just stopped at another yet another beautiful beautiful place and uh honestly when you spend the day riding in places like this and stopping and taking it all and makes me realize

Of pikon just before the rain set in the tech crew got over the bo as we hit the midpoint of the track a hot shower and a well owned meal with plenty of conversation around today’s Adventures as we head back south from Picton back to Hess Springs through the
Iconic MW station a quick up and back to explore Mount altim marock and a very special hard route for those looking to ter themselves on the loose and Rocky climb of upcut Saddle the reward unbelievable views across MW station and the in then kakura mountains as far as the eye can see hallah
GL ultim marock is a 1,693 m high peak in the black Birch range with freeing overnight temperatures Riders may get a glimpse of snow at the summit if they’re lucky how’s day three going so far easy today is just a relaxing day for me I haven’t
Put it down yet the Riverside is still at the bottom I’m happy so you listened to medic Daryl’s briefing which was vertical yeah vertical is good horizontal is not he actually told me once I’m horizontal he will give me a massage and I thought that’s going to be the day so I’ll stay
Up good incentive that ain’t going to work what are we off to mount Atri Mok have you been up there no no no we’ve just been waiting down here the road’s probably a little bit challenging for a trailer so we’ve just waited here will

Poket it was really cloudy I didn’t know if we’re going to be able to see anything but uh actually when we got up here it’s uh it’s opening up a little bit it’s really beautiful and the climb up here was so much fun it’s ripping I
Got be careful not to get flats though super sharp rocks in there um but such yeah such a great ride I think everyone’s having a really good time Riders took it easy hting down the Summit AT times’s having a couple of meters visibility not the place you want
To go off track with the sun doing its best to build off the fog we’re hoping to get a clear run up the upcot settle Loop got a little bit of triple chili coming up oh Everyone likes a bit of chili Gordon what are you thinking uh yeah let’s go have a
Second we can see you coming down the ladder now that’s one for man one Le for man he a oh with its epic riding Barren Wilderness Landscapes and remoteness you can see why the upcut saddle is a buul Lous for many Adventure Riders but the day
Getting on and a long ways to ham Springs Riders pushed on to get him before dark oh in the dark you up the fall in the all in a day’s Adventure a event photographer Rob kba needed a push 4 km from home running dry on fuel lynon displaying a valuable trick learned from
His years racing The Deco today was really special the weather held off which was absolutely great the riding just a massive just a great mix of everything from hard gravel tracks to really technical climbs and descents we just had a ball riding great people great motorcycles a great day honestly
Jordy you would asked me earlier today like five words to sum up today I just and I’m never speechless this is like this is like a first um you just can’t get better than that you just cannot get better Adventure tracks scenery Pap weather it was Unreal unfortunately the best things must come
To an end but the final day of the 2023 husky Tre New Zealand still had some surprises left for rers as they looped out from H Spring South through the Canby region with multiple hard route exclusive Farmland access unreal scenery but extra spy with weet conditions making day four the Husky trick rather

Riding through some Farmland which I’ve never done before here in New Zealand like really really crazy like up and down Rolling Hills really high up with views of valleys but the the the critical thing was the terrain was like grass or mud and I mean like really slippery grass and mud so
Um that made it really challenging and um they rate the trails on a chili rating and I think that was a chili four out of fire it was pretty pretty hot and we had a lot of fun pushing the bikes up good camaraderie and teamwork helping
Everybody we had a really good laugh on the way up and down um through there so really great morning now it’s time to get ourselves ready for this afternoon because we have some more Farms to come and get ourselves fueled up and go and hit the road or hit the dirt

Really generous of them to to offer their properties for us um others context of contexts and you know they’re all really really good guys the farmers and really open and receptive to you know our activity which is amazing just got back from yet another epic day on
The Husky trk here in New Zealand sadly it’s the last day today but it’s been really epic and it’s so good today the weather changed at lunchtime and the tracks got seriously difficult and it was so good to see everyone just chipping in helping each other I got a

Epic work Jordie!!
brilliant
Stunning❤
Your observations are all valid. There’s no doubt the 500 is more highly strung and less refined for that travel smoothness. I thought you make have commented more on the weight and handling differences. The suspension and lightness are different worlds but appreciate the old adage of horses for courses AND the compromise that suits the individual.
The 500 not having its tank makes a big difference. It changes the feel of them. The ‘500 full’ is a very different bike to a ‘500 empty’ when talking +/- 17 liters.
Your CRF is the weight of a 701. I have a 702 with an omega rally kit on it and a 500 also set up with Rade tower, big tank. 500 is great in the high country. While I take the 701 in the tougher going, it is much harder (need skills) to ride. There is almost no place you need 701 power in the tighter bush😊
AAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWEEEEESSSSSSOOOOMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
