The climbing ramps up on stage 4 with a 153km route between Monthey and Leukerbad. The first half of the stage is more or less flat, but then comes the ascent of Crans-Montana – recently used as a summit finish at the Giro – followed by the Höhenweg (19km at 4.5%), before a short descent and a final kick to the line.
