I bought a new wheelset with a seemingly different body than my cassette. I thought my cassette is a Microspline (as is the body), but it doenst fit well. Can anybody help me understand if these are compatible, or if I maybe need a different body? Pics in comments

What kind of cassette are you using? If it slide on the new hub, it’s most likely a microspline cassette. (10-51 12 speed shimano). It’s not a problem to wobble a little when there is no lockring on it. Have you tried it with the lock ring properly tightened town?
This all looks fine. Go ahead and fully install it.
What model cassette is it?
Please confirme/correct me but that looks like a xt 12 speed cassette and they fit on micro spline hubs. I have a slx 12 speed on a fulcrum micro spline hub and they have a little play too.
