My opinion that doesn’t amount to much is get rid of that white tire, replace it with a black tire, and replace those beat up grips with some fresh black ones.

Replace the white tire with a black one, replace hand grips, install brakes and get rid of the bar bumper on your frame. Just IMO 🤷🏼♂️

Match your tires ,drop the seat on a angle, colored pedals , new grips, get a single rear break set up with the a colored lever that will match the new sprocket you’ll get . Or you can even just get a can of paint and if done correctly paint them to match yourself because nothings wrong with that sprocket . I got a 2010 bike I’m trying to rebuild got some work ahead and a short budget .ill probably tried to paint white walls in my tires to hide the mongoose logo 😂

Firstly, white tire either needs to go, or you need to get a second white tire and get another white part in your bike(either a seatpost/seat/chain/or sprocket). Then new grips. They looks tired and old and that’s a fairly cheap part to replace.
Then we should think about color combos and complementary colors. It seems like your main colors are black and blue. And that’s fine. Then you have a white tire and a silver stem. IMO bikes look best when there are 3 colors max. Usually 2 main colors and a 3rd color that accents.
Keep the blue and black, but I think you should decide whether you want to go white or silver with the accents. If you go white I think you should get a second white tire to match, and then replace small components to add accents of white. Maybe stem and what I commented earlier (either a seatpost/seat/chain/or sprocket). I don’t think you should change all of these but balance it out. Like don’t change both the seat and seatpost to white since they are directly next to each other. Personally I would do tires, stem, seat, chain if you’re going white.
If you go with silver accents I would change the front tire back to black. Then I would replace the sprocket & seatpost.
Again this is all my opinion and I don’t think you should really follow how someone else would build your bike. Afterall, I’m a little biased as this was my [last build](https://imgur.com/a/DrJgsgz)
Hey, personally I think it looks good as it is!
I really enjoy seeing mismatched tires and kinda beat up bikes, as long as it’s not too cringy…
I’d maybe remove the frame pad if it was my bike tho, but do whatever you like, it’s your ride!
Edit: yea as others mentioned, I’d replace those grips too
