Hi r/bikepacking, I want to on day become the first official person to go around the world by BMX ! I plan on using a Big Flyer HD 29″ with a 40/16 gear ratio (73). I was wondering if you could tell me if this bike would be good for bike packing ?! Thanks !

Realistically any bike will do it, this would do it better than most BMX because of the 29″ wheels (easier to find replacement tyres, will roll over bumps better, more air volume to absorb bumps and vibrations).
You’ll want somewhere to attach bags, but you can get racks to attach to just about anything.
You might want a longer seat post because BMX aren’t designed for long-term riding comfort. Maybe handlebars with more and more comfortable grip positions, but I don’t know what is and isn’t fundamental to it being a BMX bike, surely you can’t just put pegs on a single speed and call it a BMX? Or can you?
