    If it were me I’d either put some helicopter tape around that section of the frame. Or use a section of those gear cable inner PTFE liners and use a short section where it goes over the cable guide.

    I would use a cable sheath to protect the frame. Also curious about the unwanted auto shift function.

  3. My Emonda is the same. Like you, I was unsure if I did it right due to how close to the bare frame the cable was but a check with the manual says it was installed correctly. Had no issues since.
