So I only got my Gravelbike in December, really picked up riding it this month with my first 100k and riding 600k in Feb so far.
I look at gravelbiking clothes A LOT. On sale, regular price. And I really would love to invest all that money.

But right now I am really fine with my running clothes (wintertight, shirt and I even brought my Salomon vest for the longer stuff haha). So I am sure this will put me in a bad place when starting to ride with others?what would be essential to invest in?
I must admit I would prefer to invest in a powermetre than in a bib lol.

get the bib. You’re going to want to be as comfortable as possible and that is the largest part of it imo from the reduced chafing and extra pad its well worth every dollar and can be had for $80 or less

  3. If your butt needs no padding after 600km in February you seem to be fine. Go for the Powermeter.
If you want to go shopping for clothes: Winter: Baselayer and a warmer Jersey/Jacket like the Castelli Perfetto will cover a wider range of lower temperatures (think 6-14C). Combine with long bibtights. When it gets warmer combine a regular jersey with a vest for maximum flexibility.

  4. I don’t really own any cycling specific clothes except the padded underwear that I wear under my regular athletic shorts or parts, and padded gloves for long trips.

I don’t really like the feeling of skin tight clothing especially in summer, so far nobody has laughed at me for not being decked out in all lycra 😂
